One man is facing several felony charges following an incident involving a gun on Albemarle High School grounds.
Gary Riner, 49, is facing three felony charges including possession of a loaded firearm on school property and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Police say Riner was sitting in a car with a rifle on the front seat. They were alerted to him on Saturday by a report of a suspicious person in the parking lot.
Riner was also charged with driving under the influence (DUI). He's being held at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail without bond.
