Volunteers Raise Money, Plant Trees at Crozet Trail Day

A network of trails is nearly ready for walkers and cyclists in Crozet. More than 50 volunteers helped raise money and plant trees for Crozet Trails Day on Sunday.

The event at Crozet Park was hosted by the Crozet Trails Crew, a group of community members interested in helping plan, build, and promote pedestrian and bicycle trails in and around Crozet.

The new trees line the entrance to the new connector trail which will serve as the town's greenway system.

The trails crew says the new Crozet connector only needs a few finishing touches before it's ready for the community to enjoy.
