Saturday marked day three of four at the ITA Atlantic Regional men's tennis tournament at the Snyder Tennis Center.
The Virginia men's tennis team advanced four players in the singles bracket, and three teams in the doubles.
Top-seed Jarmere Jenkins won his match in straight sets, beating Bryan Welnetz of Penn State 7-5, 7-6 (2).
UVA junior Justin Shane was the #3 seed, but was upset by Ben Guthrie of William and Mary.
Freshman Ryan Shane was seeded 6th, but he also fell short, losing to Virginia Tech's Amerigo Contini.
Fellow freshman Harrison Richmond rallied for a 6-7(3), 6-2, 6-1 win against the Hokies Hunter Koontz.
Richmond will join Jenkins in the quarterfinals Monday at the Snyder Tennis Center.
The freshman will also play in the doubles semifinals with teammate Alex Domijan.
Justin Shane and Julen Uriguen reached the doubles semi's as well, and play begins Monday at 10 a.m.
