Car Nearly Hits Home in Monticello Ave. Crash

A car came close to crashing into the side of a home on Monticello Avenue in Charlottesville around 4:00 Saturday afternoon.

City police say an 83-year-old man who was not familiar with the area ran the stop sign at the intersection of Monticello and Elliott Avenue. A car driving southbound on Monticello collided with his car and then swerved into the yard of a home.

Police say nobody was injured.
