The Hokies haven't won a game outside of Lane Stadium this year - and they continued that streak today as they fell 38-17 to the Clemson Tigers.
Hokies were playing neck and neck with the No. 14 Tigers until Logan Thomas was picked at the end of the 2nd quarter by Jonathon Meeks, who ran the ball 74 yards for a touchdown.
That play put the tigers up 17-7, and the hokies continued to struggle to find offensive momentum.
Clemson forced 4 turnovers and sacked Thomas twice.
Early in the game, Virginia Tech came out guns blazing. On their first drive, Logan Thomas threw a 29 yard touchdown pass to Corey Fuller to put them up 7-0 just minutes into the game.
Virginia Tech's defense played remarkably well too. Virginia Tech held Clemson to 295 yards of total offense - which is huge being that they averaged 525.83 yards before today's game.
Michael Cole proved that in the first quarter when he made an interception while lying on his backside.
The Hokies had a total of 406 yards of total offense.
Virginia Tech's falls to 4-4, 2-2.
