Police at the University of Virginia are on the lookout for the driver who struck a pedestrian and took off.
It happened around 6:45 Friday morning on Massie Road. The pedestrian reported she was in the crosswalk when a gold SUV driven by an older man with white hair hit him. The pedestrian was taken to UVA Medical Center.

CHARLOTTESVILLE -- The University of Virginia Police Department responded to 290 Massie Road on October 19, 2012, at 6:47 a.m. after a pedestrian reported being struck by a gold in color SUV, believed to be driven by an older white male with grey/white hair. The pedestrian was in the crosswalk near the sidewalk that runs parallel with the John Paul Jones Arena when the vehicle struck her. She reported that the vehicle continued to drive west bound on Massie Road before turning left onto Copeley Road. The pedestrian was transported to the University of Virginia Emergency Department.
