Friday night, the Avett Brothers are hosting a charity concert in downtown Charlottesville to benefit our country's military.
And they are looking for your help to spread the word about community service. The folk-rock band and Cheerwine teamed up for the first Legendary Giveback. Proceeds will go to Operation Homefront, Big Brothers, Big Sisters and the University of Virginia Children's Hospital.
Seth Avett of the Avett Brothers said, "We love the idea of being able to parlay some of the attention we are getting and some of our connection with our fans toward the giving side of things."
Tickets are sold out, but you can still see the concert online. The show is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. The group will provide a link to watch the show on the web to anyone who pledges to volunteer service to a charity or community organization. Click here to learn more.
