Congressman Robert Hurt is on the road this week visiting small businesses and manufacturers. Thursday, Hurt's 5th District jobs tour took him to Starr Hill Brewery in Crozet.
He says Virginia has a proud history in manufacturing and Starr Hill is a successful business model.
"It's a great example of a small business, a business that employs I think about 50 people, and as a business has been very, very successful. It clearly has a great opportunity to grow and serve its customers and serve the people of this area, certainly that work here."
Governor Bob McDonnell has declared this week "Manufacturing Appreciation Week". Hurt will continue to visit small businesses in the 5th District next week.
