Charlottesville Hosts Comprehensive Plan Public Meetings
It is time to update Charlottesville's comprehensive plan, and the city needs your help to do it.
Neighborhood development services hosts the first of three community meetings Wednesday night from 6-8 p.m. at the Buford Middle School cafeteria. It is asking the public for feedback on the city's updated land use map and comprehensive plan goals.
Planners say they want as much feedback as possible before public hearings next year.
"So folks can go online and review those, and we have a couple of mechanisms there so that if they have comments on the spot that they can send an email or they can answer a survey," said Charlottesville Planning Manager Missy Creasy.
There will be two more identical public meetings in the next couple of weeks. One is October 25 at the Venable Elementary School auditorium from 6-8 p.m., and one is November 1 at the Clark Elementary School gymnasium from 7-9 p.m.
