Press Release
Waynesboro Police Department

The Waynesboro Police Department has charged a Waynesboro woman with attempted murder for the stabbing assault on her live-in boyfriend.

On October 14, 2012 at 2:30 a.m., officers were called to an apartment in the 200 block of Port Republic Rd. for a man screaming for help. When officers arrived, they found the 26-year-old victim bleeding from numerous stab wounds. Officers arrested Lori Faye Miller, 35 years old, at the scene and charged her with one count of attempted murder.

Both subjects had been drinking alcohol prior to the assault. She was treated at the hospital for injuries she said she received from the victim. She was then transported to Middle River Regional Jail where she is being held without bond.

Miller is scheduled to have an advisement hearing in Waynesboro Juvenile & Domestic Relations Court on October 15, 2012.

The victim was airlifted to the University of Virginia Medical Center where he remains in critical condition for stab and slash wounds to his arms, face and back.
