Harrisonburg police say 21-year-old Elizabeth Vincent is conscious and responding to commands and her injuries are not as serious as originally thought. She is still being treated at the University of Virginia Medical Center.
Police say Vincent was on the roof of the Delta Chi House Saturday afternoon taking a picture with friends when she slipped and fell. Investigators also say she had been drinking.
A young woman is recovering at the University of Virginia Medical Center Saturday night after falling from the third story of a fraternity house at James Madison University.
Rescue crews responded to the Delta Chi House in the 700 block of South Main Street in Harrisonburg around 1:45 Saturday afternoon.
Police are still investigating the incident, but say the 21-year-old's fall was not caused by any structural problems with the house and alcohol was not a factor. The extent of her injuries have not been released.
