Free Balkan Wedding Music Concert at Old Cabell Hall

Music lovers have a unique opportunity to hear a rare form of music in Charlottesville.

Yuri Yunakov is a pioneer of Balkan wedding music and Friday night, the saxophone player and his band are playing a free concert at the University of Virginia.  Friday morning, band members gave a little preview of their performance.

"Yuri is a world-renowned musician," said band member Alfred Popaj.  "He won an award last year as one of the best saxophone players in the world and it's a great opportunity to hear a big influence in the music community."

Friday night's event is in Old Cabell Hall at 8 p.m.
