Single moms and dads juggle a lot with their families, but on Sunday some of them they caught a break in Waynesboro.
Single parents could bring their cars to Mark Martin's Auto World for free oil changes and safety checks. This is the fifth year the Waynesboro Seventh Day Adventist Church has sponsored the event, which provided appointments for free tuneups to 10 single parents.
Will Johns, the pastor of the Waynesboro Seventh Day Adventist Church, said those parents got "their car fixed up so it's safe. Just help them out because we know what a stressful thing it is just to be a single parent."
The church says it's considering doing the event in January as well. Members say that time of year, after the holidays, is tough financially so it would be a great time to help families out.
