A Staunton nursing home employee accused of sexually assaulting two patients will be able to avoid jail time.
Anthony Johnson, 47, pleaded guilty Wednesday to a pair of misdemeanor assault-and-battery charges. A judge gave him a suspended sentence.
Johnson, who was arrested in August 2011, was a nurse's aide at Envoy of Staunton.
Prosecutors say the plea agreement came about because the victims' families were reluctant to have them testify.
