The surviving family members of a fire victim in Augusta County could see some relief in the form of a fundraiser this weekend.
A state fire investigator has not yet ruled on the cause of the fire that killed 11-year-old Dustyn Fitzgerald this past weekend.
He was trapped on the second floor during the blaze on Dooms Crossing Road. Firefighters say it started in his brother's bedroom on the main floor, and might have been touched off by an electric baseboard heater.
The nearby Blue Ridge Chapel of the Brethren on Eastside Highway is organizing a Saturday fundraiser, with proceeds going to the Fitzgerald family.
