The Virginia football team is on a three game losing streak, and has a losing record for the first time in two years after dropping a 44-38 shootout with Louisiana Tech Saturday.
The Cavaliers defense actually held the Bulldogs to their lowest point total of the season.
UVA's offense out-gained Louisiana Tech 625 yards to 385 yards. That includes a school-record 480 passing yards.
But turnovers and penalties proving to be costly.
Quarterback Michael Rocco was victimized by three interceptions before being pulled in favor of Phillip Sims and the 'Hoos were penalized 16 times for 145 yards.
Rocco said, "Like it's been the last three weeks, it's just been little things that kinda stub our toes. We had a lot of penalties to bring us back, and a couple turnovers that we want back, but those resulted in big turn of events."
Virginia will be back in action next Saturday at 3 o'clock at Duke.
