The Western Albemarle football team shut out Monticello 28-0 Saturday night.
The game between district rivals was postponed Friday due to the threat of thunderstorms.
Quarterback Kent Henry accounted for 296 of the Warriors 308 yards of offense in the game.
The junior QB completed 10-of-18 passes for 195 yards and a touchdown, while also rushing for 101 yards and a score.
Nick Drapanas and Steve Hearn each had interception returns for a touchdown for WAHS (5-0).
The defeat is Monticello's (4-1) first shutout loss since losing 19-0 to Handley in the 2010 playoffs, and is the largest margin of victory for a Monticello opponent since a 56-6 defeat against Powhatan in September of 2009.
The win marks Western's fifth victory over Monticello in 16 games, and the first by shutout.
