Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day Gets Kids on the Trails

Kids and parents got the chance to hit the trails of Albemarle County on their mountain bikes. The Charlottesville Area Mountain Bike Club put on their ninth "Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day" at Preddy Creek Park Saturday.

Kids of all ages learned about mountain bike safety before exploring the trails. The kids were also taught biking etiquette, like to not ride side by side, to slow down at sharp turns and corners, and to always wear their helmets.
