UVA Hockey Upsets Terps; Men's Soccer Falls To Clemson

The #7 UVA field hockey team upset #4 Maryland 3-2 Friday at the University Hall Turf Field, while the Virginia men's soccer team lost 2-0 against #17 Clemson at Klockner Stadium.

Senior Michelle Vittese scored twice for the Cavaliers (10-2, 2-0 ACC), while fellow senior Paige Selenski scored the game-winner in the 55th minute.

The victory against the Terps (7-2, 2-1 ACC) is the second win against a team in the Top 5 for Virginia.

UVA returns to action Sunday at home at 1pm against Saint Joseph's.

Clemson scored a goal in each half to defeat the Virginia men's soccer team, who were playing their third game this week.

The Cavaliers (5-4-1, 1-2 ACC) outshot the Tigers 11-9.

The Wahoos return to action next Friday at #1 Maryland.
