Augusta Man to Serve 7 Years for Firing Shots During Fight

An Augusta County man will serve seven years behind bars for firing shots during a fight last year.

Troy Lee Vest, 25, had already been convicted of attempted murder and a pair of firearms charges. Thursday afternoon, a judge handed down the seven-year sentence.

Vest was arrested shortly after the incident outside a restaurant in Fishersville last September. No one was injured by the gunfire.
