They're 0-1 on the road, with a disappointing loss at Pittsburgh.
The Hokies will be playing a neutral site game this week, as Tech takes on Cincinnati at FedEx Field.
Virginia Tech is 0-2 all-time at the home of the Redskins.
The Bearcats are undefeated this season, including a win against Pittsburgh in their season opener.
Hokies head coach Frank Beamer says, "If they turn on the tape, they're not going to overlook Cincinnati, I promise you. It's just a fact. They pounded Pittsburgh, and Pittsburgh pounded us."
Junior cornerback Antone Exum adds, "That kind of shows how seriously we need to take this opponent. They're a tough opponent. They really beat Pittsburgh soundly, and Pittsburgh beat us soundly."
The Hokies will take on the Bearcats Saturday at 3:30pm at FedEx Field.
