A driver is facing one charge of failure to maintain proper control after a trailer overturned and closed Louisa Road in Keswick late Monday afternoon. The road was reopened around 6:30.
Albemarle County police say a dump truck was pulling a trailer carrying a backhoe, which fell off when the trailer overturned around 3:30 Monday afternoon. Virginia Department of Transportation crews worked to upright the backhoe and fix damage to the road caused by the incident.
Louisa Road was shut down in both directions near Edgewood Drive for about three hours.
