Women United Gives $30K Grant to Boys & Girls Club

Women United donated $30,000 to the Boys and Girls Club of Central Virginia Thursday.

The nonprofit presented its annual Human Services Grant award at a luncheon at Farmington Country Club. The gift is an opportunity to highlight groups serving women and children in the community.

"We can actually make an impact - a very determined impact - on needs for women and children in our community," said Sue Friedman with Women United.

Friedman says Women United could not have asked for a better keynote speaker – University of Virginia President Teresa Sullivan.
