Waynesboro Crash Leads to Rockbridge Larceny Suspect

A routine accident probe in Waynesboro led to a suspect who's been wanted on felony charges.

The Wednesday afternoon crash happened when Amy Michele Raines veered off East Main Street. Her car severed the guy-wire of a utility pole, then struck a vehicle that was parked in a for-sale lot.

The 38-year-old Grottoes woman suffered minor injuries, But Raines is listed as a fugitive in Rockbridge County, where she was indicted on larceny charges.

Waynesboro informed Rockbridge deputies of where to find Raines.
