Charlottesville's historic Jefferson School renovation is just a few months from completion. But as they make the finishing touches, they need your vote.
The Jefferson School African-American Heritage Center is competing with thousands of other groups across the country for up to $250,000 in funding from Chase Community Giving. It's a way to rally support on Facebook, and raise awareness for the project.
Andrea Douglas with the African-American Heritage Center said, "This giving program has really given us an opportunity to reach our constituents, let them know what it is we're trying to accomplish in that space, and also to make some new friends."
