A lost pet and a bit of luck brought three complete strangers together this weekend in Charlottesville.
After Rebecca Bunch lost her pet, Buggy the pigeon, she turned to Craigslist to get him back. Lisa Pawlina and her coworkers saw that post, but wrote it off as a joke.
Then, two days later, something strange happened. While strolling the downtown mall, Pawlina and her daughter came across a strange surprise.
"We happened upon this pigeon, and I'm like, 'no way!'" Pawlina said. "It was almost unbelievable that all those connections took place to make it happen, to get Buggy back home."
With a little help from his newfound friends, Buggy found his way home Sunday afternoon. His owner says he has a hurt toe, and he's a little shaken up, but everyone is relieved he's back in one piece.
