The UVA volleyball team trailed 2-0 but rallied to beat Liberty in five sets Saturday night at Memorial Gymnasium (18-25, 23-25, 25-19, 25-23, 15-8) in the final match of the Marriott Cavalier Classic.
The Cavaliers improve to 5-6 this season and 30-2 all-time against the Flames.
Sophomore Tori Janowski had a team-high 25 kills and 30 assists and hit a career-high .524 for the 'Hoos.
Freshman Kayla Sears posted a career high with 18 kills in the win.
Fellow first-year Natalie Bausback had 12 kills, nine digs, and three aces for Virginia.
Senior Rachel Gray added 29 assists in the win, and junior Emily Rottman had a team-high 18 digs.
UVA had 23 more kills than Liberty (70-47) in the match.
The Cavaliers return to action Friday night when they host Miami at 7:00.
