The 5th ranked UVa women's soccer team got goals from Caroline Miller 86 seconds apart in the second half to cruise by NC State 4-0. Virginia wins its 8th straight game.
Miller becomes the 13th Cavalier player ever to score 30 career goals. Thursday night was her seventh career multi-goal game. The Cavaliers scored their first goal of the game in the ninth minute on a corner kick. Olivia Brannon scored her first goal of the season. The Cavaliers got some insure in the 73rd minute with a goal from Kate Norbo.
"We saw a lot of good things in this performance," said head coach Steve Swanson. "In the first half, we created a lot of chances, but weren't as sharp as we could be in the final third. We were able to do a better job in the second half taking advantage of those chances and were able to get three goals."
Virginia improves to 8-1. The 'Hoos host #6 North Carolina Sunday at 2 p.m.
