Hoo's Well Health Fair held at JPJ - NBC29 WVIR Charlottesville, VA News, Sports and Weather

John Paul Jones Arena was one of the healthiest spots in Charlottesville Thursday afternoon. It is playing host to the second annual Hoo's Well Health Fair.

UVA staff and their spouses got a chance to have a biometric screening, a flu shot and take in some healthy knowledge.

UVA Coach Mike London says the session gave him some fresh ideas on how to snack, "peanut butter, apple and almonds…that's going to be my new fuel mix now."

Even if you missed the health fair today, you have five more weeks to get checked out. UVA employees and/or spouses can make an appointment at www.hooswell.com to get a biometric screening between Sept. 12 and Oct. 8.

Every participant that completes the screening will find $75 tacked onto their next UVA paycheck.
