Political campaigning was suspended at 9/11 events across the country Tuesday, but one man hoping to become a congressman is speaking out.
Independent write-in candidate for the 5th District, Ben Hudson, kicked off a series of town hall meetings at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday Jefferson-Madison Regional Library.
Hudson says he is a good fit for the 5th District because he can relate to both Democrats and Republicans. "I think I have a better chance at finding common ground as well as building consensus and don't mind because I understand the bigger picture," he said.
Hudson also held a town hall meeting at the Crozet Library and will hold another at Northside Library in Albemarle Square.
