The James Madison football team will likely be without its best player when the Dukes face 9th ranked West Virginia Saturday at FedEx Field.
Running back Dae'Quan Scott suffered an ankle injury in JMU's win over Alcorn State Saturday, and coach Mickey Matthews says he doesn't expect Scott to play Saturday.
JMU is ranked 4th in the Sports Network FCS poll, and is now 2-0 after beating Alcorn State 42-3 on Saturday.
Scott has been named the CAA Offensive Player of the Week.
The former R.E. Lee High School star rushed for 108 yards and two touchdowns on just eight carries against Alcorn State.
He also caught a touchdown pass.
But this weekend the competition gets tougher for Mickey Matthews' guys.
