Western Albemarle quarterback Kent Henry has been named the Falcon Club Player of the Week.
This is the second time he has been honored, as Henry also captured the award last year as a sophomore.
"It's a great honor," says Henry. "The Falcon Clubs is a great association. I always love to be named. Only a few players get it every year, so I feel very honored. It's really special, hopefully I can keep the tradition going. We'll see about next year."
The junior accounted for over 400 hundred total yards in the Warriors 21-0 win at Liberty-Bealeton Friday.
Henry rushed for 150 yards and a touchdown, and also threw two touchdowns and passed for over 250 yards in the win.
"It was more of a team effort," says Henry. "All I really had to do was sit back there and throw. My linemen blocked really well for me. My receivers got open. All I really had to do was run around and throw the ball."
Western Albemarle will host Fort Defiance Friday at 7:30pm.
