The total bill is in for how much President Barack Obama's campaign stop cost Charlottesville and Albemarle County. Both localities say they are asking to be reimbursed.
The city says the visit cost more than $11,813.71. The county says it has tallied about $9,500 in expenses. Both cover presidential protection costs for extra police, fire and rescue crews.
The president campaigned at the nTelos Wireless Pavilion on August 29. Historically, localities are not reimbursed for these types of visits.
