Former R.E. Lee star Dae'Quan Scott ran for 107 and two touchdowns, as #5 James Madison beat Alcorn State 42-3 Saturday at Bridgeforth Stadium.
Scott needed just eight carries to record his total.
Senior quarterback Justin Thorpe added 9 carries for 101 yards and a touchdown, while also passing for 140 yards and two scores.
Both Scott and Thorpe had 100 yards rushing by halftime, when the Dukes were up 28-0.
JMU (2-0) has scored 40+ points in the first two games of the season for the first time since 2008.
James Madison returns to action next Saturday, as the Dukes take on West Virginia (#8 FBS) at 4:30 pm at FedEx Field.
