Hokies Crush Austin Peay 42-7

Former Harrisonburg High School star Michael Holmes ran for two touchdowns, as #15 Virginia Tech crushed Austin Peay 42-7 Saturday at Lane Stadium.

The redshirt freshman had 40 yards rushing on just 9 carries.

Junior quarterback Logan Thomas threw for 212 yards and 2 touchdowns, and also ran for a TD.

The Hokies (2-0, 1-0) held a 21-0 lead at halftime.

Virginia Tech will be back in action Saturday at noon, as the Hokies travel to face future ACC foe Pittsburgh.
