Charlottesville Police Investigating Robbery Near Downtown Mall

Charlottesville police are investigating a late-night robbery near the downtown mall. It happened in the 100 block of East Market Street around 10:00 Thursday night.

A 26-year-old Louisa woman, who police say had been drinking, reported someone hit her in the head and took money from her purse. She was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
