Draft Party Held for Charlottesville Blondes vs. Brunettes Game

Posted: Updated:

The Blondes versus Brunettes football game to benefit the Alzheimer's Association is coming to Charlottesville.

They will play each other October 14 at Charlottesville High School.  Thursday night, Charlottesville Young Professionals Inc. is hosting a draft party from 6:00 to 10:00 at McGrady's Irish Pub.

Organizers say they hope the draft party will help them recruit players, coaches and game day volunteers.

Mike Fox with the Charlottesville Young Professionals said, "We're helping out a great cause.  A lot of our players have relatives with Alzheimer's disease, or they're in the health care industry and they care and treat people who have dementia or Alzheimer's."

The effort has already raised more than $3,000 for the Alzheimer's Association.  Click here to find out how to donate or sign up.
