A recipe for an economic boost is brewing in Greene County. A new beer tasting shop is in the works.
Beer Hound Brewery will be housed inside of the Fermentation Trap on Route 29. The shop is the first of its kind for the county. It will have eight brews on tap and provide Wi-Fi for customers.
The Greene County Department of Economic Development & Tourism is thrilled about what the business can offer.
Kenny Thacker with Beer Hound Brewery said, "South of town, there's three or four breweries and they all, they do really well, and I'd just like to see something come up this way to get more tourism in Greene County."
"So to have something like that locally, instead of sending them to Nelson, we can just send them right up the street here to the Fermentation Trap," said Tony Williams with the Greene County Department of Economic Development & Tourism.
Beer Hound Brewery is scheduled to open around October 1.
