A unique pair overcame the odds to take part in the Paralympics, and now they are bringing home a bronze medal.
Both Oksana Masters and Rob Jones are bi-lateral above knee amputees. They trained for the Paralympics on the Rivanna Reservoir in Albemarle. As a team, they won bronze in a 1,000 meter race called the trunk-and-arms mixed double scull.
Rob Jones said, "After a lot of hard work we are so happy and proud to bring a bronze medal back to the U.S."
