The start of the University of Virginia football season also means the start of tailgating, bringing many Wahoos back to town to take part in the action.
One of those parties is on wheels. It's called the Hoo-Haul and it comes fully equipped with a TV, beer on tap, and a stage with an audio system.
The Hoo-Haul is the creation of a group of 25 Sigma Nu fraternity brothers that have been tailgating at every Wahoo game since graduating in 1997.
UVA alumnus Kevin White said, "We're passionate fans. To us, it's all about the game. We try to raise the bar from a tailgating standpoint as well."
This group of friends hopes the Hoo-Haul will rub off on their kids just enough so one day they become diehard Wahoos and can run the show themselves.
Gov. McDonnell announced that his FY 2015/2016 budget will include $183.1 million over the biennium in new support of VA's colleges and universities.
