Staunton Woman Arrested on Felony Embezzlement Charge

A Staunton woman is in trouble after cash was reported missing from a school's Parent Teacher Organization fund.

Staunton police arrested 40-year-old Donna M. Tinsley on one count of felony embezzlement. The report of missing money came in Monday from A.R. Ware Elementary School in Staunton.

A Staunton City Schools spokesperson says police were called after some irregularities were found in funds collected during a fundraiser last school year. According to police, more than $200 is missing.

Tinsley is free on a $10,000 unsecured bond.
