Restaurants to Raise Funds for Blue Ridge Parkway

(AP) Restaurants in North Carolina and Virginia are serving up a fundraising event in September to help preserve the scenic road.

On Sept. 18, the restaurants will donate a portion of their proceeds to the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation.

Three restaurants in Virginia and 19 in North Carolina have committed to participate in the "Plates for Parkway" fundraiser so far.
