Woman Charged with Assault & Battery on Police Officer

A woman is facing an assault and battery charge after investigators say she threw her cellphone at a police officer.

Megan Kayo, 24, was arrested shortly before 2:00 Monday morning. Police say they got a call that Kayo was unresponsive along University Avenue.

Police say Kayo was intoxicated and when an officer tried to help her, she threw the phone. The officer is OK.
