The High School football season officially begins Friday night.
With it comes the NBC 29 Tailgate Party, which will be live at Western Albemarle high school tomorrow during the six o'clock news.
The Warriors will kick off their season against county rival Albemarle High School Friday.
The Patriots have won five games over the past two seasons, and one of those wins was against Western Albemarle.
AHS beat the Warriors 15-6 in 2010.
Western pulled out a 22-21 win last year.
They went 6-4 in the regular season, and advanced to the state playoffs.
Head coach Ed Redmond is in his first season on the Warriors sidelines, and says the game should be a great way to start.
"There's no question, being opening night, a home game, county rival, you could see the hype coming," says Redmond. "We're just going to try to relax, focus, and play our game."
The Warriors and Patriots kick off Friday at 7:30pm in Crozet.
