A fair held Thursday at the University of Virginia gave faculty a lesson in how to effectively use new technology in the classroom.
The free 'Teaching with Technology' fair held on the fourth floor of Alderman Library introduced faculty at UVA to things like virtual classrooms.
Trisha Gordon with the teaching with technology fair said, "Meeting with their students in a virtual classroom so that students can be anywhere in the world. They can invite guest speakers to come and talk to the students from anywhere in the world."
With recent initiatives for more online course from UVA President Teresa Sullivan and the faculty senate, Gordon hopes this event encourages faculty to incorporate more technology in the classroom.
