Freshman Makenzy Doniak scored two goals, and the #8 UVA women's soccer team beat Liberty 3-0 Wednesday night at Klockner Stadium.
Doniak has four goals through three games for Virginia (2-1).
Senior Caroline Miller scored the Cavaliers first goal in the second minute of the match, and Virginia outshot the Flames 19-1 in the victory.
UVA assistant coach Ron Raab says, "You always like to get a slightly better success rate on the number of opportunities that we had, but overall I think we did a good job of possessing the ball tonight, and finished to put the game away."
Doniak adds, "We had our shots. 19 shots. We finished three of them. I think we could have put away a couple more. Especially in bigger games, we need to finish our opportunities, but I think tonight we did well, and we can always improve on finishing."
The Cavaliers wrap up their four-game homestand Sunday at two o'clock against UNC Wilmington.
