The wife of an Albemarle County fire training captain is behind bars and is accused of attempted murder.
Neighbors in the Fox Chase area in Crozet say they were shocked to see several police cars in front of the home of James and Theresa Brady when they woke up Tuesday morning.
A 911 call went out from the home in the 300 block of Ellington Bend in Crozet around 3:30 in the morning. After an initial investigation, police arrested 33-year-old Theresa Lynn Brady. She is facing an attempted murder charge.
Police are not saying much, but we do know the investigation lasted most of the day. Neighbors say they saw children in the home when officers arrived on scene.
Sergeant Darrell Byers of the Albemarle County Police Department said, "This seems to be an isolated incident - that is isolated to that particular residence. It was not anything that was a threat to the community."
Investigators have yet to confirm the identity Theresa Brady allegedly tried to kill, but sources close to the investigation say it was her husband, James Brady, a captain with Albemarle County Fire Rescue.
Theresa Brady is being held at the Albemarle - Charlottesville Regional Jail. She has a bond hearing Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Albemarle Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.

Officers with the Albemarle County Police Department have arrested and charged a woman with attempted murder.
Police responded to a 911 call around 3:30 Tuesday morning in the 300 block of Ellington Bend in Crozet. Upon arriving on the scene and doing the initial investigation, the officers found that Theresa Lynn Brady attempted to kill another individual.
She was brought to the police department for questioning and later charged with one felony count of attempted murder. The 33-year-old was also charged with one misdemeanor charge of delaying communication with 911.
Brady is currently being held at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail.
She has a bond hearing on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Albemarle Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
