UPDATE:  Theresa Brady bond hearing held today at 1:30.  Brady did not request bond but can request bond in coming days.  Preliminary hearing set for Sept. 17 at 10:30 a.m. at Albemarle Juvenile Domestic Relations Court.

Search warrants show Theresa Brady injected her husband with insulin while he slept.

The wife of an Albemarle County fire training captain is behind bars and is accused of attempted murder.

Neighbors in the Fox Chase area in Crozet say they were shocked to see several police cars in front of the home of James and Theresa Brady when they woke up Tuesday morning.

A 911 call went out from the home in the 300 block of Ellington Bend in Crozet around 3:30 in the morning.  After an initial investigation, police arrested 33-year-old Theresa Lynn Brady.  She is facing an attempted murder charge.

Police are not saying much, but we do know the investigation lasted most of the day.  Neighbors say they saw children in the home when officers arrived on scene.

Sergeant Darrell Byers of the Albemarle County Police Department said, "This seems to be an isolated incident - that is isolated to that particular residence. It was not anything that was a threat to the community."

Investigators have yet to confirm the identity Theresa Brady allegedly tried to kill, but sources close to the investigation say it was her husband, James Brady, a captain with Albemarle County Fire Rescue.

Theresa Brady is being held at the Albemarle - Charlottesville Regional Jail.  She has a bond hearing Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Albemarle Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
