A special grand jury has indicted three people from Augusta County on racketeering charges. One of the people indicted, 23-year-old Curtis Wimer of Verona, was arrested Thursday.
Wimer was arrested on three counts of racketeering. Prosecutors say he was part of an ongoing criminal enterprise that engaged in a variety of offenses - potentially including drug trade and counterfeiting.
The two others indicted, 21-year-old Brittany Nesselrodt of Mt. Sidney, and 23-year-old Shaun Sams of Verona, have not yet been served with the indictments and have not been arrested yet.
They all face possible life sentences if convicted.
