Stuart Hall School Searching for Historic Concrete Blocks
A school in Staunton needs some help finding some irreplaceable historic blocks taken Tuesday night.
Stuart Hall School near downtown Staunton is in the process of renovating its retaining wall. The historic concrete blocks are being stored on the back of a truck in the middle of the athletic field.
The school's director says a neighbor saw someone make three trips to remove a large number of the blocks Tuesday night.
Mark Eastham, the head of Stuart Hall School, said, "We're just hoping that someone thought they were garbage, that we were throwing them away, but they were stacked pretty carefully. And we were just hoping that we could get those back so we could do the restoration appropriately."
Eastham said says police have been informed and they will be patrolling the school.
