AT&T launched a national campaign Wednesday to try to save lives on the road.
The new campaign called 'It Can Wait' includes a "no texting on board pledge" day. Wednesday drivers young and old were encouraged to sign a pledge to not text and drive.
Reports show texting is a dangerous and sometimes deadly distraction that causes over 100,000 car accidents each year nationwide.
For the new campaign, AT&T is giving out bumper stickers and has put a short documentary about the dangers of texting and driving on YouTube.
AT&T sales consultant Andrew Collings said, "Its targeted to everyone. It's really become a really big problem. People really are in danger of hurting or killing themselves and we really need to pay attention to it."
The pledge campaign runs through mid-September.
